WHO WE ARE

Bravospan 90 cc is a security company based mainly in Limpopo. The company is 100% black-owned and was founded in 2011 by Mr Masiko Alfred Maphutha and has been in business since then. The company will establish control centres in all arears where our services are required in terms of the contract Initially, the company was established to assist the S.A.P.S (South African Police Services) and other companies to combat crime and protect properties. Presently it offers services to the private, small and big companies, public institutions retailer’s stores residential properties and special services etc. The management team and staff of the company share the wealth of experience and knowledge in the various aspect of the security industry.

In terms of Black Economic Empowerment, the company has been committed in this process since its formation. It currently endeavours aspect to achieve the following:

  • Empowering its members and employees
  • Developing and training personnel in managerial and other skills
  • Providing various benefits and incentives to its staff members
  • Supporting black suppliers in the procurement of the following items stationery, uniforms, office furniture and equipment, etc.
  • Uplifting disadvantaged communities in the field of education, training and sport

How we do business

Staff training and screening

In term of training, all our security personnel have undergo training and are registered with PSIRA. The company is recruiting well trained security officers, highly experienced, and who are frequently undergoing regular monthly training on a rotating system with security training accredited institutions recognized by PSIRA.
Above all, the company is operating in accordance with the standards stipulated rules and regulations as determined by PSIRA, the National Department of Safety and Security and the Department of Labour respectively from time to time.
In terms of screening, the company is conducting security officers screening through PSIRA and S.A.P.S (South African Police Service) before employing them. This exercise enables us to recruit or employ security officers free from criminal activities as PSIRA and S.A.P.S are the only official bodies authorized in dealing with this aspect. Any previous attendance of recognized security training institutions will also be verified.

Staffing Component

Regarding staff recruitment our company places a strong emphasis on the following aspects:
  • Registration with PSIRA (private security regulatory authority
  • Appropriate age and Physical fitness
  • Promotional and motivational aspects
  • Security clearance (S.A.P.S)
  • Possession of security training certificates;
  • Employees must be able to write and communicate in English/Afrikaans and any other official languages commonly used in the area of operations
  • Employees must be literate and computer literacy is advantage;
  • Management and supervisors must be able to read, write English or Afrikaans and understands mathematical figures and must be computer literacy
  • All staff are uniformed in line with the image of our clients (if required)
  • All staff should undergo induction and refresher training programs
  • Staff will be provided with transport and accommodation next to the site

  • The company uses accredited training providers to train their guards - POSCLE Seta accreditation.
  • We have Multi Risk Liability Insurance for security and will increase the cover if the need arises

  • The company complies with the new firearm control act.
  • We are U.I.F and workmen’s compensation fund accredited.
  • Beside the above accreditations, we are still working to acquire the iso9000 and 14000 accreditations.
